About The Commissioner
I am Glovetta P. Williams and am the Founder of Tri-City Athletics. Our program was created with one clear mission: to create access, exposure, and opportunity for youth in the communities in which I grew up.
As a longtime travel softball parent, I’ve seen firsthand how access to quality coaching, competitive play, and exposure opportunities can open doors both on and off the field. I’ve also seen how many talented athletes are overlooked simply because their communities lack resources, visibility, or structured programs.
I launched Tri-City Athletics to change that narrative for the youth of Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay. Our goal is to provide the same caliber of opportunities, development, competition, discipline, and exposure that are often available in more resourced areas, and bring them directly to our community.
Tri-City Athletics is about more than sports. It’s about building confidence, creating pathways, and ensuring every child has the chance to be seen, supported, and developed regardless of their zip code.
My Passion
My passion is rooted in youth, community, and opportunity.
Through my journey as a travel softball parent, I’ve witnessed how access to the right environments, quality coaching, competitive play, mentorship, and exposure can change a young athlete’s trajectory. I’ve also seen the opposite: talented youth with unlimited potential held back simply because opportunities were not accessible in their community.
That experience fueled my commitment to creating change. Tri-City Athletics was born out of a desire to bridge the gap for underserved communities by bringing structured, high-quality athletic programs directly to the Glades. Every child deserves the chance to develop their skills, build confidence, and be seen regardless of background or resources.
This work is personal. It’s about pouring into the next generation, creating pathways where none existed, and ensuring our youth know that their dreams are valid, reachable, and worth investing in.
